The Everdrive is said to work on quite a lot of clones, but of course not all of them.

Oh your Everdrive is a clone as well? That could be a problem. Those clones are not made to work, they are made to be cheap and to make money. Is it one of those that can play CHR-RAM games (like Rockman) but not CHR-ROM games (like Super Mario Bros)?
