Okay, so not exclusively Famicom, but there are a few Famicom consoles in their warehouse:

Lots of cool images on their blog.  Worth checking out ;D

I saw the photo on social media and I'm a bit questionning on the way they are storing their games. I'm not sure if stacking 30 Famicom in box at once is a good way to preserve them.

There's a FamicomBox...

and some Neo Geo boxes, :o
and some Neo Geo CD boxes! :o

I hope those shelves are sturdy.
And not on a fault line.

That's no FamicomBox...  I also thought it was a boxed FamicomBox!  But look again :)

"FAMICON BOX" ??? Is that a third party SFC box?

MWK

Nah, it's just a custom made box for our FamiCON party 8)

It is a 'third party' Famicom Box basically.  Back then there were a ton of grey market type unofficial units.  It's not SFC, that is the unit underneath.

Those pics look nice.  I plan on starting my own preservation society in the next year or two, just thinking about the best options to make it viable.

Judging by that picture, can there be any doubt that the Famicom and Super Famicom are Japan's most popular retro video game consoles?

Fixed.

I think if things were still how they used to be, this shop would have barely any stock of the FC/SFC. I wonder if they have any sales data online.  ::)

I remember reading an article that said there where more households in Japan that had a Famicom than that didn't back in the day.

Yellowed SFC, what a plague! Baked, half-baked, yellow, brownish, there's a colour/pattern for everybody!
