In case you guys haven't seen it already, there's a very cool Famicom podcast called Famicom Dojo.

Famicom Dojo is an Internet Television show co-produced by Powet.TV and 4colorrebellion.com. It provides a historical take on everyone's favorite system providing facts and comedy on many of the nuances of the Famicom that most of us are all-too-fermillier with, such as buying Disk Games that actually have something unexpected and often undesired on it to the channel 98 RF tuner for US televisions.

Personally I find the series extremely well done. It provides history on little known info as well as a general Famicom 101. So why not check it out and see what you think yourself?

Episode 1: Overview of the 1983 Famicom and the Famicom Disk System

Episode 2: The Famicom Disk System's Problems and the Nintendo Entertainment System's solutions

Episode 3: Viewer response, Grandpappy's (slighty distorted) history of the real Nintendo Entertainment System.

Thanks, guys!

The other dude in those videos is Sensei, who has been seen around these boards once or twice (I think).

We're gearing up to (finally!) round off the season here.  I hope you will enjoy it.

Anyone have any feedback, comments, or recommendations?  I'm going to be doing up a new mailbag section soon, and have a few good questions already, but more are always welcome!

Episode 5 is live, and it's all about the Famicom microphone.

There's even a nod to Famicom World in the show notes, since I think the thread linked from there is where Vinnk got his list of games for the video.

It all gets a bit confusing with the dojo specials thrown in on Youtube. I'm probably being a bit dense but couldn't you actually number them as episodes? Would help for searching as I cant find episode 4 and I only just managed to stumble on 5  ???

A fine point, and one of the reasons I think the Famicom Dojo website is so useful: http://www.famicomdojo.tv/season.php?id=1&detail=episodes#episodes

I can certainly update the youtube titles of actual episode with their numbering.  I believe we are going to keep the specials outside of the normal flow, however, since their format and subject matter usually vary from the main show (hence "special").

Don't feel bad -- I haven't publicized it much yet.

Glad you're enjoying!  Hopefully the next one will be just as enjoyable.
