Hi Folks,

i recently fixed a botched RGB amp install on a Coregrafx II for a friend,
He had it done elsewhere initially, but it didn't seem to work right so i reinstalled it,
and he gave me a Chinese Shuttle clone as a reward.
so, i've opened it up,
and it has 3 chips on a riser board, that look a lot like the 3 HU chips on a real PC Engine.
can anyone confirm that the chip marked KC5374B is a cloned chip of the original HUc6260a chip,
and that i can take RGB and Sync from there?

i only found one reference to this console online here:
https://nfggames.com/games/pceclones/

and here are some pics of an original PC Engine board,
and 2 pics of the riser board inside the clone with the 3 chips on it,
plus a shot of the console and controller,
and 3 pics of the rest of the board.
i can take close up shots of anything of interest if necessary,
just shoot me a pm.

also, if anyone knows how to pull stereo from this, or improve audio in any way that would be great to know as well.

Man i would love to have one of those, sadly i can't helo you, and probably trying to mod one of these isn't the best decision, is better leaving it as is.

So since pcenginefx.com shut down where do most people go to discuss things like this?  That was a great forum spent many years there.

P

The forum was destroyed by some fed up members (by spamming it). PC Engine Software Bible Forum absorbed most of the community.
Then of course we have our own PC-Engine Thread!
