I recently played this game and I noticed it was a attempt of converting the famous game on pc engine hucard: Super Star Soldier, on famicom.

Interesting...    Did you notice that?

PS: for those who played Blade Buster the famicom homebrew, the music of the first level is the same as Superstar Soldier level 1...
