I'm thinking of bidding but I'm scared of it being either a bootleg or only side A of a floppy somehow burned into the ram adapter:

What are your thoughts?

HVC-022   Disk Drive   Readout device of Disk Card that becomes main of "Disk System". It's put under the family computer. "Disk System" sold since February 21, 1986 for ¥15000.

HVC-TK22EPROM-02 5080 ? IGS would be the game developer. Don't know what it says in japanese.

P

Yeah it looks like a prototype of the unreleased game Shounen Majutsushi Indy. I don't think it's an FDS game, as Togemet said they just use RAM adapters to make EPROM development cartridges with. I guess Nintendo had a lot of spare ones that developers could get and repurpose into EPROM carts.

There are only screenshots of the title and name entry screens though, so I guess there is always a chance that it's fake. If it's real, I hope that whoever buys it can get it dumped.

The Japanese pencil text on the label "インディ IGS" is read as "Indy IGS".

I knew I'd seen that logo before - I have the Armadillo II sales flyer featuring the Indy game artwork on it.  Seen here:

It's real. It is a prototype for an unreleased game. It isn't actually anything Disk System related.
The developers just put the board into the FDS RAM case. This is quite a common practise and has been seen other times.

how come this hasn't been dumped yet?

Hubz

A large group of us is working on acquiring donations for winning this and getting it dumped if anybody is interested please let me or togemet know. Thanks!

Depending on the amount (it's already a bit high), you've got competetion up to a point. I'm going to try and bid on this aswell. (I saw it first and have same intentions with it)
They just added screenshots, so it's pretty much legit giving myself a valid point to bid.

Hubz

We'd rather not compete with other people trying to preserve it do avoid a needless bidding war. Would you want to combine efforts?

Elrinth

Combining Efforts would be the way to go. But it depends on what I get from it? I wanted to be the first one to show a YouTube video of it. I would dump it with Copynes of the analogier nt mini. Then I can pass it on.

If you want to own it then you can arrange with the group of people working on acquiring it, to buy it afterward they've done what they had to do. You'll have it at a cheaper price atop of that!

There's already a youtube video of gameplay

if you contribute, you spend less, and people will all have an equal chance of creating content once the ROM is released, which it will be as soon as it is dumped.
Besides, only few of us actually speak Japanese. You would have to be able to understand the dialogue to make a meaningful video.

Price is going up and it ain't my fault.

The listing's ending in almost an hour, if you want this game to be preserved, your best bet is to join forces with us.

Wow it ended at nearly 15K US.  Anyone here win it or was it swooped by a mysterious historian?

Nobody here won.

At that price it was almost surely scooped by a hoarder, maybe never to be seen again.
