Hey does anybody have any empty famicom cart shells for sell? Looking for offical famicom cart shells but bootleg versions of it work too. Want to swap a few bootlegs around

Bear in mind different PCBs have different shells - in other words, games are not inter-mixable between shells.  Generally NROM titles are ok.  Best bet might be some standardised bootleg shells from Aliexpress etc.

L___E___T is absolutely right. You should try those Mindkids™ out from Aliexpress. Bare in mind however that original Famicom PCB's are the toughest implication since to do the perfect fit you will have to cut almost everything from inside the shell, but I don't know, different PCB's = different possibilities... maybe...

Here is a kind of "in-depth" compatibility check made by me >> http://forum.contrabanda.eu/index.php?topic=949.0

Those shells look like they only support basic games: NROM, UNROM, CNROM for example.
MMC1, MMC3, or other carts with custom chips will not work without modification to the shells.

Also, bootleg PCBs are oftenly even more different than original carts..

Funny enough I'm almost done with replacement shells.

I created a thread too which is here.

Awesome! I've always wanted one of those big "Famicom" custom shells.
Any estimation on the final price?
I'd want a couple for testing purposes, just like I did with those from Mindkins 8)

Indeed! I'll give 'em a test-try, as well as those (looks pretty Pegasus-ish):

those you showing look very nasty and cheep plastic ,druze ! and for 3 $ you can bay a cheap multicard with same poor quality  shell   ;D    haha  :redcart:

MWK

Those "nasty" ones looks exactly like Taiwanese bootlegs from around mid-to-late 90's, here are examples:

Which is actually kinda cool... of course if plastic isn't too "cheap"

I do not know why but I hate this design even back in a day.
Of course I did not have nothing original to compare,  but had one old multi-card with the original shape and the plastic is even better then the original ones .when I was a kid I brutally opened it many times and it did not broke  ,so I felt in love with the original shape back in a day :)

Here is video with capture ot my card , the funny thing is there no Contra in the menu :D
