Post something we all don't know about you.

The thing about sites like this is you typically don't hear about anything more than video gaming and entertainment (TV, music, etc.). What is something you do we don't know about...or maybe post a pet peeve.

I'll do both...I head a local community group in my town that is consuming way too much of my time nowadays (hence, the infrequent updates), and I hate hate hate talking about, thinking about, and seeing anything wet or moist that comes out of the human body (blood, urine, mucous, etc.). :-X I have lots of pet peeves...I could have a whole thread devoted to them.

I was born with only 10% vision. To this day, I am still 90% blind. The exact value is 20/200.

At 20 feet, I can see what you can see at about 200 feet.

This is caused by two things. On my dads side, they have poor vision (near sightedness) and on my Mom's side, there is a gene that only affects the males in the family (females are carriers) that causes my eyes to twitch constantly. This is called nestagmus.

Wow, I've never met somebody with legal blindness :o.

I'm pretty nearsighted too, I don't remember the exact value but my right eye is considerably worse than my left one. I was born with myopia and astigmatism and wear glasses since I was like 7 years old (19 now). I think that determined a lot about my personality and interests. For example, I suck at sports (my depth perception sucks) and on the other hand love computers, video games and electronics ;D

MaxXimus

I hate sports so much, which sucks because my girlfriend and her family are right into them. Glasses don't work for me as the major problem is that my eyes twitch, which prevents them from focusing.

I played soccer for 18 years.

I can eat pizza every day for the rest of my life.

I have over 15 pairs of brand new sneakers in the box because I don't want to ruin them.

An animated billboard I designed is currently running in Times Square.

I'm a 7 year migraine sufferer.

I used to believe in an afterlife but in the last few years I'm leaning more toward the nothingness once you die.

I was born on Easter and my initials (in real life) are "JC"... and yes, I'm Jewish.

Not that I have a Gawd complex or anything  ;D ;D ;D

I got married in a kilt (my mother's side is Scottish).

My first on-line experience was in 1991 with my Commodore 64 and my 2600 baud modem (which was big news back then). BBS-ing was the thing then, baby! (gawd, I'm old).

My first Famicom cart was in 1989 when I ordered one from FUNCO along with a  honeybee adapter. I got 12 carts for (if I remember correctly) about $40 with shipping. I got hooked.

I collect Mahjong video games for almost any system.

I also collect Geisha dolls.

Halloween is my favorite holiday.

This Halloween I went as Mario.

But under THAT hat was my REAL hat... ;D

HEH, HEH, HEH... I gotta WIN!

I suffered from deep depression for the past 6 years that it almost cost me my life. Sadly, the friend that saved me ended his life about a year ago. I am majoring in Computer Information Systems even though my counselor said I would do better in becoming a writer(I don't like to listen). I started playing video games since I was like 4 back when I got the NES with the 3 in 1 cartridge, zapper, and power pad. Video games have been my anti-depressant and work great when I'm feeling down (even better than drugs!). I miss my home country(Peru) but I have finally decided to finish college here and save up money to open a business in Peru. About my childhood.....well lets just say I'll need a lot more time to type everything that happened then...lol umm Famicom is connected to me because I used to play it a lot when I was young and it was one of the few happy memories I had when I was young that's why I have been searching for Super Mario Bros 8 for so long because it is one of the few games I remember playing and feeling happy back in the days. TMNT 2 pirate cart was another one but I found that one on Ebay. Thank you Ebay!!

That's amazing and I am glad you're still here. My wife and I both have depression (I'm taking Wellbutrin for it) but not as bad as you have it, it seems.

I am glad that you can find happiness in video games and wish nothing but the best for you, my friend.  :)

I enjoy the deeper topics like this one, but people can get touchy with subjects like this. Anyway, just wanted to point out that I agree with the conclusion you're coming to. And pretty cool that you've got one of them lighted signs in Times Square...got any pics?

I also suffered from severe depression since we're all being open about it. It also almost cost me my life. People can be so cruel to you about things you can't change about yourself. (growing up in poverty, blindness, etc)

Har the cat

When i was about 16,17 i was very depressed. I listened very much depressive music and i was stoned the whole day. That realy sucks, haha.
But now i am a happy dude that would become a school teacher. :D

Well, deep topic.
Let's star, I'm boss in the graphic design website part in a newspaper, and I'm a grumpy person. I hate when people doesn't do their job, and spent a lot of time in an easy task. I'm not an easy boss.
I spent 5 years of my life with a person who cheat on me, we was living together, so after that I leave my home and all my stuff and back to my parents house, I leave her all the stuff, bed, tv, everything, including tons of videogame stuff. I didn't see her anymore. Now Im pretty happy with a new person and I'm triyng to recover all my stuff again, in almost a year I recover tons of stuff I'm pretty happy for it.
In the past I wrote a computer emulator called Antarctic Nes, It only supports a few mappers and stuff and I do several hacks on nes games and I translate a lot of technical documents about NES to spanish and I was in a small project to do a Spanish Nesdev,
Well, that's a good stat.
Greetings.

I also suffer from depression (MDD to be specific, wiki it). I currently take Cymbalta to help with the really bad days, but overall the meds really help.

And here's a pic of the billboard, its for a jewelry company called "SILPADA", its animated but here's one frame live from times square:

Haha...neat! That's quite the influence there -- if half a million people see it everyday. That jeweler must be paying a fortune to have it placed there.
