Hey Gang,

This is a long shot, but does anyone own a Famicom multi-cartridge (low count, maybe 32~50 game range, can't recall) where the main menu has bubble bobble characters walking around and throwing bubbles? Also, Macross is notably labeled as "Space Castle" on the menu.  ???

There are a lot of cartridges with the Bubble Bobble-themed characters. Sane Ting did a whole series of them including the famous 31 and 32 in 1, which actually have an easter egg inside giving a credit / shout out to a guy at NTU. This is a huge deal for those in the know, haha.

Regarding, Macross, I honestly don't remember. It may be named as "Space Castle" on some of the menus but it definitely wasn't hacked on the actual game title screen in this way, unlike some other games "Mr Mary", "Esgimo", etc. I'd have to dig out my multicarts and look though that's a project I don't plan to do in the near future; that being said, that actually does give me an idea that I should document the menu "names" and the label "names" and then document what they actually mean, as there is a lot of logic behind it all.

Hmm, well I scoured youtube for about an hour and only came up with a partial fit. The classic JY-10 ball series.

I'll keep looking, but good luck on your search.

I still haven't published volume 2 yet. It's on my to do list.

The books are really on sale quite well at the moment, around $36 each. It's a really good deal.

Hey Everyone. Thanks for the kind suggestions! @Fathi & @MS-DOS4: Unfortunately, I don't think those are the ones I had in mind. The 11-in-1 is too short on games. The one I remember had a text menu with items laid out in columns, with potentially more than one page (maybe 2/3?). I think the menu had a boarder around it (Maybe it was Yi ar Kung Fu? Something brick like?) and maybe it had two bubble bobble characters throwing bubbles around instead of one?

To be honest, the details are fuzzy, so I'm reluctant to provide too many details since I might be remembering things wrong. The last thing I want is to chase a dead end due to incorrect details.

But thanks for the suggestions so far. I really do appreciate it!

Edit: I am unsure about the KeyByte one since I can't see a full list of games or the cartridge in action, but it's possible I remember wrong, and it's one of these variants which uses the alphabet to list games. I honestly have a hard time remembering.
