Ah dude, Robocco Wars happens to be one of the few games I'm still looking for. How did he enjoy it? It looks awesome.

I haven't played much today, but earlier I did beat Kaiketsu Yanchamaru 3 without dying.

Working on the Namcot version of Star Wars. A surprisingly fun game, and in some ways even better than the other Star Wars one, faithfulness to the source material be damned.

I just wish I could skip the initial cutscene with R2-D2 showing Leia's hologram plea for help. Short though it is, it's still a bit annoying.

I just played some Robocco Wars. This game is very cool. I think you'd dig it for sure, nightstar. I do think the difficulty is a little light, especially in the early stages. I didn't exactly finish the game here on my second playthrough. The bosses do get tougher as the game goes on. It's a mix of Mega Man-esque platforming/run-and-gun stages with a few horizontal shoot 'em up stages thrown in for variety. Terrific graphics and music. An excellent game, but perhaps deserving of a hard mode.

I've only played the Namcot Star Wars game once, but I was pleasantly surprised with it. It's vastly superior to the later Lucas ones we got in the US. I think those were both garbage.

Yeah a few days ago I actually watched the first few levels of it on a playthrough, it seems really cool. I guess it'll have to be one of the few games still on my wanted list... just that and Metal Storm... for now, anyway.

Last game I beat was Samurai Pizza Cats... L___E___T's recent finds post made me want to replay this one again, man I love this game. Nice move variety in the cats, cool Ninpo animations, incredible soundtrack and some of the best boss battles I've ever fought, not to mention the fact that there's plenty of 'em.

Super Mario Bros. 2 The Lost Levels

Super Mario Bros. 2 The Lost Levels famiclone version.

Mitsume Ga Tooru... I plan to play it again when I get home from work. I'm disappointed in myself because during this morning's playthrough, I died once to a spike pit on stage 3... I can do better than that. I know I can.

What's the name of that Rockman hack? I'd be interested in playing that sometime. Is it a hack of the first game? Is it good?

Wow. Samurai Pizza Cats, Super Mario 2J, Metal Storm... all fine games that I've got, but haven't played in too long. Sadly, I've played no video games at all today, and it's time for bed. I'll try to get some gaming in over the weekend.

I'd strongly recommend you choose Samurai Pizza Cats for your next gaming session. That game is magnificent from beginning to end... remember that you can double tap forward to dash in that game.

I just got done with a no-death run of Mitsume Ga Tooru... effectively redeeming my previous mistake.

Spartan X. Is it just me or this considerably harder than the sequel? (Not saying much, but still)

I can assure that it's not just you. Spartan X is a pretty easy game overall (does it even get any harder when it loops?), but Spartan X 2 is among the easiest games I've ever played.

I just played some more of Robocco Wars. Managed to reach the final boss, but it was too much for me. There's a really strong train theme to the platforming stages of this game, which definitely appeals to the little boy inside of me.

The full title is Megaman - the Hedgehog Trap

It is a hack of Rockman 5 I think - it uses Darkman bosses, so I'd be surprised if it copied that code over from another game.  But it does appear to have Megaman 3 stages in, so perhaps it is.   It's actually pretty well done, as hacks go.  Levels art is well done and the only minor issues I've noticed so far aresome collision moments and odd design choices that you wouldn't see in the regular games.  Some tiles and screens don't feel polished enough because they've been made to behave differently or edited as best as could be to be honest.

This isn't off topic, because I just played it again on my Everdrive :)

Rockman 2, beat it with no deaths finally! Only took my whole life.  :)
