Mighty Final Fight.

I rented this game for NES when I was a kid and enjoyed it, always wanted to go back and play it again - then I learned that it's now elevated to - for me - grail-tier prices. So out of curiosity, I checked FC prices, and oh, look! 20 bucks! GRABBED.

Considering that the NES generally can't display more than two enemies at the same time in beat-em-ups, it's a great game. I'm glad Capcom went with such a creative redesign rather than a straight port.
Favorites: Castlevania, Metroid, Namco 18

Not to mention it ends up being not only the best of the Final Fight series, but the best 8-bit beat 'em up as well. Ridiculously good game, and a very fun one to no-death run with Haggar thanks to his infinite combo.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

Just got a 1LC in Power Blade, Expert difficulty. It's still kinda easy, but so good regardless. And it has some great music.

Nightstar699

Nice! That is a fun run to complete even though the Expert setting really doesn't seem to change much...

in fact, it's kinda inconsistent: It seems like on Expert you get knocked back sometimes after taking damage, and sometimes you don't. Do you know if anything in particular triggers it?

Can't say I do, I didn't pay terribly much attention to it. I didn't get hit that many times, either.

Just got done no-death running Dynamite Batman for the first time in a while. I forgot how much I loved this game, despite some of the features being... not particularly well executed.

Got back into Final Fantasy. Just beat Kraken, only one more crystal to go.

Miracle Ropit:  Adventure in the 21st Century

Kiiiiinda wish I had the instruction manual for this because I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

Started Power Blazer after a long while.

I would love to see the minutes of the meeting where it was decided that for the localization they'd keep from the original the music and some of the graphics, and pretty much re-do everything else. From physics to stage design to mechanics, everything's a notch or three better in Power Blade.

Final Fantasy, the last chaos Tiamat bites the dust. All crystals are shining again and it's time for the final showdown.

I didn't care about taking all treasure chest in this last dungeon since they just contain a bunch of stuff I can't carry or use with my party (knight, ninja, master and white wizard). And I don't need money anymore either this late in the game. I only took the useful stuff like Sasuke's katana for my ninja and the adamantite.

I can tell you a grand total of one, count it, one thing that is overwhelmingly superior in Power Blazer - the ending. In case you haven't seen it yet, I won't spoil it for you, but it's adorable.

Terra Cresta and Image Fight.

Frustrating to start, but really addictive.

Wouldn't be a Konami game without Moai heads in it somewhere.
