Looks like my beloved Yie-ar Kung Fu, but with many
more fighters, but with very less difference between
styles and characters!

Dude have you ever tried the Flying Dragon/Hiryu no Ken series? The first one is meh but 2 and 3 are awesome. They are action/adventure games with Yie-Ar style battle systems and ocassional RPG-style turn based boss fights.

Glad to see another HnK fan! Too bad Culture Brain these days is making games targeted to the female demographic. I'd love to see another fighting game like Flying Dragon 64.
