I would hope to see pirate carts kept away from the main site. Or kept in a separate section at the very least. Or make famicompirateworld.com as a sister site.

Well pirate games is quite a big part of Famicom World already, but I agree that they should definitely be in a dedicated list for unlicensed games considering their inconstancious nature.

A fact I would also like to see remedied. Having the information available yet clearly separated would at least be a step in the right direction.

Please to not derail this thread into a discussion about the merits of pirate carts.  That can be done in another thread if you'd like to.

Keeping the pirate stuff in a separate list may become somewhat of a necessity depending on how we'd want to track stuff.  Again, though, that's theoretical at this point.  In the rough FW timeline that I have in my head, getting pirate stuff onto the game list is waaaay out there.  Like, years away.

No idea what you guys here are talking about.  Do you mean the unlicensed original games, or actual pirates, like Flintstones 2 on Famicom?

yes, i agree that would be a very important distiction to make.
unlicensed originals are in a completely different league than bootleg copies of official releases imho,
and should not be thrown into the same subcategory if there is to be a categorization of these matters at all.

P

I don't remember what we where talking about. :-[

Thanks for the hard work!  I updated the blank IDs in the game list to use these values.

Thank you also for the notes about potential duplicate entries, etc.  I will scrutinize and resolve those soon.

---

- Deleted Aso Maze - was dupe of Yu Maze
- Deleted Asumitsu Land - Looked like mispelling of Asmik-kun Land but also said it was a FDS game.  Didn't see anything like that so deleted.
- Battle Rush is a Datach game and those don't seem to have IDs on them.  B-AI on the cart is some kind of Bandai logo.
- Hao-kun had a weird spelling of Square, yeah
- Deleted Honmei since it was a duplicate of Keiba Simulator - Honme
- Deleted the extra Nazoler Land game -- we have entries already for the four games that do exist
- Agree about Space Shadow -- does not seem to have an ID on it
- Deleted Densen Rundesu, since it was a weird dupe of Utsurun Desu

happy to have been helpful! :) if you need a hand for something else, I'm always available!
I will post the list of potential errors / games for which I have not found information after the update of the forum software

dado2095

Hi! It's good to be back on the freshly renovated FW!  :)  As promised, here's the list of all the doubts and possible errors that I've encountered while searching the ID's. If anyone can help with some information or corrections on these titles it would be really appreciated!

-All Datach games (Dragon Ball Z: Gekitō Tenkaichi Budokai, Ultraman Club: Spokon Fight!!, SD Gundam: Gundam Wars, Crayon Shin-Chan: Orato Poi Poi, Yū Yū Hakusho: Bakutō Ankoku Bujutsue, Battle Rush: Build Up Robot Tournament and J-League Super Top Players) don't seem to have any kind of ID, but Crayon Shin Chan has "BA-SHINCHAN" in the ID section, witch i'm almost sure is wrong. The second thing is that Crayon Shin-Chan was released in both Datach Cart and standard Famicom cart on the same day. The famicom version isn't present in the list, and the only ID on this version is a "27" on the side of the box.

-post Sky Kid Namcot games don't seem to have ID's, or rather, apparently they have it but I'm unable to understand where this ID is on the cartridge/box/manual. For example I own a copy of Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti and the code is reported to be "NAM-FSH-4900", but on my copy this code is nowhere to be found! Where's the ID on this games?

- "Nantatte!! Baseball: Kogame Cassette '91 Kaimakuban" and "Nantatte!! Baseball: Kogame Cassette OB All-Star Hen" don't seem to have any king of ID on the cart or the box.

-Karaoke Studio, Karaoke Studio Top Hits 20 Vo. 1 and 2 don't seem to have any kind of ID on the cart or the box.

-Safety Rally = (I've looked at some photos of the cart and the blue outer case and, unless it's on the map of wich there are no good resolution photos, it seems to have no ID)
-Curotsukusu, Nakiri Yagyou, Solitaire, Suzugou (no informations found on these games. Wrong names? Possible repetitions?)

-Gyuwanburaa Jikochuushinha 2 (possible repetition of Gambler Jiko Chuushinha 2 by Asmik?)
-Katsuba Densetsu (possible repetition of Kagero Densetsu published by Pixel Soft.?)

-Kiddy Sun in Fantasia (it doesn't seem to have an ID, but from the photos online there are at least two label variants so maybe some version have one)

-Madar no Tsubasa (possible repetition of Wing of Madoola? The names are a bit different but it's the only game that comes up in a research)

-Space School (all games in the series don't seem to have ID on box or cart)

-Star Soldier: Time Trial Special Soft (I only saw one photo of the cartridge, and it seem to have no ID)

-Wakusei Aton Gaiden (I was unable to find any photo of the box/instrucions for this game, if they exist, but judging from the disc it doesn't seem to have an ID)

That's all!

On a sidenote, maybe we should add something when the ID is not present? Like a "///" or "NO ID" in the designated section? just not to leave a blank in the list.
