What is your first Famicom and FDS game?

My first Famicom game was SMB3 and a multicart. I went to a used store and saw them there for 5 dollars each. I thought they were so cool, so I bought them, the guy threw in a Converter.

My First and Only FDS game is Eggerland. Now all I need is a FDS.

Pirate Famicom cart of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project. It was just called "Super Turtles III". I gave it to someone else.

My first Famicom was a 16 in 1 multicart. And I have yet to own the FDS. :(

Doc

Believe it or not, Super Mario Bros. 3. My friend knew I lived it so much, that he bought the Famicom version for me December 2004, Christmastime. It's also what got me to get started on my love of the Famicom. :)

Akumajou Densetsu.  It's the whole music chip thing that first sparked my interest in famicom games.

My first Famicom game was Dragon Quest 3 when I remember right.
I bought it in a little used game shop when I was in Japan for the first time. It cost 1500Yen cart only. One year later when I was studying abroad in Japan I found it again, this time complete in box for 400 Yen.

Doc

Ahhh, so you got ripped off at first. :P

manuel

Not exactly ripped off. It was my fault for not knowing about the prices yet.
It was my first visit in Japan. I went into that store and got big eyes  :o overflowing with joy and then I lost all my senses. ;D I so much wanted a Famicom game just for the sake of owning it (and to use with my Twin Famicom) that I didn't pay much attention to the price.
Later I traded that Dragon Quest 3 for a Game Genie, so it was ok I guess.

Doc

Hmm...either way, you got a good deal, I never see Dragon Quest III ANYWHERE!

JC

I've got Dragon Quest III cart only. Good thing I don't play RPGs! :P

manuel

In Japan DQ3 is quite common.
I see it nearly everywhere I go.
Maybe we can work out some deals when I go to Japan again.
...
Man, I want to go to Japan again. And fast :'( Germany sucks.

Doc

Lol, I want to go to Japan, buy every game ever, and leave.

manuel

If you can do that you must be rich... I mean very rich. :o
Some of the games are VERY rare and Japanese collectors pay much for them.

Japan has more to offer than games. Very nice country.
If you want I could post some photos of Japan in the off-topic.

Doc

Yeah, I know, I'd vist every place, ever, and THEN buy the games. The scenery is just beautiful. I followed your old Japanese blog for awhile, and loved the pictures. PLEASE DO POST THEM! :)

The T.V. there sounds great. I'm trying to learn to speak Japanese so I can atleast chatter and watch the fine television. :)

manuel

You were the one that always looked in there. ;D

I got too busy with work (i.e. helping out in the temple), so I lost track and didn't post more photos on that blog.
When I've time again i'll search some good pics and make a Japan-photo-thread in the off-topic. :)
I love to show photos to people. :D

Next time I go to Japan I plan to make photos of every game shop I visit and make a page about that. Should be interesting.

(sorry for straying off-topic in here :-[ )
