Hello fellow Famicom fans!

I'm Chris and I have been an avid gamer since I bought an NES at a tag sale when I was in middle school in the mid 1990s for $5. The first NES game I got working at my house was Fisher Price: I Can Remember as it was the only game to actually work after a million tries.

Through the years I've collected many different systems although I never had an official Famicom until last week. I just need to get it working or find a working version.

Besides video games I spend my days doing computer repair work and system administration and telecom work.

Welcome! I hope you stick around. We've got ourselves quite the little Famicom community here.

Hello!
I am fourteen years old, I use eBay a lot, and I just bought a Sharp Twin Famicom.

I have two(3) famicom carts, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, and Bug-tte Honey. I kinda ruined, Bug-tte Honey, though.

I want to know, though, what are some other cheap games that are worth playing?

This should go in the Introduce Yourself thread. Also, you could elaborate a little more about you and stuff ;).

JC

Welcome! Check out the Famicom/FDS board for a bunch of different threads with lists of games (bests, etc.). Usually the ones worth playing are expensive, so it's hard to list fun ones that are cheap. Try SD Hero Soukessen. I think I'm the only person who mentions that as a cool game, but it's cheap and cool. :D

Hey, what up yall, I never introduced myself on here so I guess I will now.

My name's Ben, I'm 26, I live in Maryland at the moment even though I've lived in Boston, MA and Honolulu, HI in the recent past.  When I was a kid I played NES until I got a Genesis (and then my dad got rid of the NES! argh! I have gotten a couple replacements since).  I was never that good at NES games and I'm still not that great!  oh well!  Something about it keeps me coming back anyway.  I really like games with good graphics and an immersive atmosphere.  Ninja Gaiden, River City Ransom...

A little more about myself:
-I was in the us navy for 5 years and served on a submarine
-I like to draw, paint, play guitar and ride bicycles

Milky B

uhhh, oh yeah, I forgot this was the famicom board.  what I meant to say was... I like games like Ninja Ryuukenden and Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari  :)

JC

Haha...exactly. :D I never like it when people called it Castlevania -- that one bugs me the most. And were glad to have you around. I think I'd go nuts serving on a sub, especially one of them nookular ones.
