SNES or Sega Genesis?

i really cant choose one over the other. MKI II and III for the sega genesis are by far better than the SNES ports. but SF2 is better on SNES. alot of good games came out for both. the only thing that makes me mad is that there is no saving ability on the sega genesis. let alone any RPGs to save. they only came out with saving when the segaCD came out (SONICCD FTW!).i love that game.

haha only sonic game i dont have is sonic 3 lol. and phantasy star 1 only came out in japan.

I think he means Phantasy Star II-IV, they all have save features built in. Most of the Genesis RPGs had save features. In fact, I'm kinda drawing a blank as to which ones didn't.

i'd go for Nintendo coz it has street fighter, final fantasy, megaman x...

but SNES that time is so expensive in our place. MegaDrive = 2k+ , SNES = 4k+

I was always a Nintendo fanboy, simply because there wasn't a single store that sold Sega stuff in my town.
I only knew Sega from video game magazines.
Nowadays I buy what I can get, regardless of who made it. (As long as it's good)

I don't think the sonic games for genesis are really any fun.

The dreamcast ones are really good though IMO.

sonic cd is quite possibly the best sidescrolling sonic game IMO. I dont prefer one over the other they both have a plethora of good games.

I like the sega genesis but SNES is much better thought. but get a model 1 genesis! model 2 sucks.

It does not suck. It's just not as cool.

That being said, I don't even like the genesis very much.

Gonna have to disagree here. I found Sonic 3 & Knuckles to be the best Sonic game out of them all, mostly due to the fact you have a bunch more levels, harder emerald challenges, you can play as Knuckles, different endings, different bosses depending on who you play as, alternate paths, more power ups, pretty much everything you'd imagine.

Sonic CD for me just felt so...eh. The level design is what really turned me off about it. I found myself always trying to go back to the past then when I'm about to, a random piece of land that's sticking up for no reason just stops my momentum and pow, there goes all that effort wasted. Don't get me wrong, it had some great music, introduced Metal Sonic and Amy, so it gets props for that. But overall the game just felt so rushed.

I think Sega MegaDrive is better, because I have played it more than Super NES and Sonic is faaaaaast....much faster than Mario. But I just love MegaDrive games. Sure Super NES have cool games too, but there is something they don't have...I'm not sure what it is, Blast Processing?

I think Sonic 2 is my favorite Sonic game.
