Tjibynn

im a member of nesdb.se. A swedish site for NES/Videogames-maniacs.. Got it from there

Rcoehrs

Recently I went a bit Disney/Capcom Crazy at a second hand shop, with the purchase  of
Talespin-2.50$
Mikey Mousecapes-1$
AfterBurner /Tegen Cart -1$

Think the best out of the bunch was the unlicensed Tegen Cart for a buck, But pickings are getting thin in my area since I have been gutting the local shops of most of the good stuff.

Almost ready to buy a Retro Duo :D So now i can play NES games soon. My PAL SNES slot is somewhat broken too, just another reason to buy it :)

Rcoehrs

Question Yami.
Are there any restrictions with The Retro Duo?
I have heard of other dual systems having limits as to what games can be played.
I really am thinking on getting one so I don't have to have all the systems out at once and I can never get a clear answer

They do have some limits.  I hate clones though.  Original hardware is way better, or at least a clone that uses original controllers and resembles the original in a way.  I'm not sure which games can't be played on the Retro Duo, but I think SMRPG is one of them...
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

YamiMario

Objection, Mario RPG (V1.0, others have better protection) does work with the Retro Duo.
And so does other games that diden't previously work.

L___E___T

SMRPG is an abomination anyways, it shouldn't be allowed to work!

In all seriousness, does retro duo have patches now or something?  How come games that didn't use to work, work now?

YamiMario

It dosen't use the NOAC (NES On A Chip) like other Famiclones do, it uses actual hardware.

If anyone cares, this should be a fairly close list of the games I currently have...  (Should be about 200 with the only duplicate being StarTropics as there are two different colors of title text on the side label...and one PAL game [Ufouria]).  Nothing too valuable in a single cart just yet, but eventually I'll look towards some of those (Little Samson, CIB DW II,III,IV, etc. -- got a DW I CIB with charts, maps, poster, handbook, manual, etc. for $2.99, so I figure I'll get the rest CIB that way  :P..generally I don't want boxes, but I like having the manuals).

I should look up Felix the Cat on youtube for footage but I actually feel lazy (check out the last thing I did today in another section). Anyone want to describe this game in a nutshell?
Dance, puppets... dance!

/\ That link doesn't take you to any information...  I'd suggest gamefaqs reviews for a general idea of a game, or youtube obviously for a visual.
