add Gyruss to the list! Kaiser first release is the original FDS port and not the americanized version...

is it a proven fact that the Bouken Roman pirate, actually is Bouken Roman and not a different game?

I have one of the Bubble Bobble FDS ports (the LH31 cart) but I'm pretty sure that one's been dumped already.
LH31 is a simplified hack of Kaiser version without "KAISER" logo on the There another one version exists, with CHR-ROM instead of CHR-RAM and less PRG data... All three are secured and dumped..

is it a proven fact that the Bouken Roman pirate, actually is Bouken Roman and not a different game?

not proven at all, just in case... if it will be proven non existant, I remove it Wink

I wasn't aware that 96k version of Bubble Bobble existed, let alone had a ROM dump. Shocked

Relic as ported?  That I'd be interested to see.

What are the differences between version 1 & version 2 of tyhe FDS Akumajou Dracula port?

I'm actually on the hunt for a Dracula 2 Kaiser cart.

The FDS game Nazo no Kabe: Block-kuzushi was ported to carts for a PAL release as Crackout.  I haven't played the cart version for comparison, but it looks like the same game with save system swapped out for a password system.

The legend of Zelda was also a FDS exclusive at one point, but it was re-released as the legend of Zelda 1 in 1994 as a standard famicom cart, using the battery backup technology developed by Nintendo of America. You can even see the naming difference in the title screen:
Zelda for FDS:

Zelda for Famicom:

Is just weird calling the first game in a series number one I guess.

It is weird, but don't forget by this point Zelda 2 had already released - so quite honestly plenty of kids without FDSs could have somehow thought this was a new Zelda game, or so they thought.

Yeah since it was a re-release in a different format it only makes sense to add the 1 to the title.
