Like I said, you can vote three times, because otherwise OoT, ALttP, and TP would get almost all the votes.
I prefer OoT, ALttP, and MM, in that order. TP is overrated by nearly everyone and would probably have tied LA for fourth place on my list.

Good question, I'm a huge Zelda freak.

My choices (in descending order) were Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, and the Wind Waker.

Ocarina of Time is the best, hands down. As the first three dimensional Zelda, and really as one of the first three dimensional action adventure games, it is amazing that it still holds up today. Games just don't get any better than this.

A Link to the Past is almost as good as Ocarina of Time but its story doesn't quite measure up. That point aside though, this game is the definition of a two dimensional, top-down action adventure game. The weapons and items in this game are the best in the series though.

The Wind Waker told a fantastic story, better than any other Zelda game. Its characters were also extremely well defined and very believable. Some of the gameplay elements were a bit... drawn out, but the rest of the game could cover for it. Something should also be said for bringing cell shading into the main stream and legitimizing it.

Majora's Mask was a close third and I wanted to say that. I hope that the next Zelda game reflects the same atmosphere that Majora's Mask had, that game was absolutely phenomenal. Also, a bit on Twilight Princess. As a game it was fantastic, but as a Zelda game it was lackluster and perhaps the worst of all of the canon games.

Links Awakening DX Wind Waker, and Majoras Mask, in no order.

I just modded my wii with TP, though :P

For me it's Ocraina Of Time, Twilight Princess, The Legend Of Zelda. The whole series is great though.

Just modded your wii using TP? The only info I can find as far as modding goes is a region free exploit and some homebrew channel. Where in all of this can you play burns? Or is this not possible yet?

EDIT:

OOT, WW, 4SA

Emulators, Homebrew, and I think Imports work from homebrew channel

How do you do this? I have an older copy of TP and would love to mod my Wii.

In a nutshell:

  • Download a copy of the Twilight Hack savefile

  • Copy said savefile in an SD card

  • Copy the homebrew executable you want to run (WADInstaller, Homebrew Channel, etc) as boot.elf

  • Insert SD card into Wii and boot it up

  • Delete original TP savefile from Wii and copy new savefile from SD card

  • Run Zelda TP, open Twilight Hack savefile

  • Go and talk to the guy, or walk backwards. Now the screen should spew console messages and your program will now run

  • Enjoy!

Cool! Where can I find these files?

My absolute favourite is Wind Waker. Closely followed by A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time.

I'll probably get killed for this... Twilight princess.

Google "Homebrew Channel"

I'm having a hard time getting Gameboy Emulator RIN to work.

It shows up, the icon I made is there, but none of the XML file data shows up, and when I click the icon, it turns to a black screen and gives me a bunch of text, and I have to UNPLUG the wii to shut it off.

That show was terrible, as well as the Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
