I just made my 500th post. I'm the 46th member of the 500 club, and I'm apparently a Twin Famicom now. Sadly, I liked being an AV Famicom more (as I don't have any interest in the FDS).

You can post more and upgrade!  I have the feeling you are part of the Famicom Family now, I certainly enjoy reading your contributions.

Thanks for the kind words, LET. I've definitely gotten hooked on this board. It's a small community here, but a friendlier and less competitive one than Nintendo Age (which is the only other board I frequent).

But I guess I don't see what upgrades I have to look forward to: I don't see a Sharp C-1 in my future as a Famicom player/collector, nor do I see a Twin Famicom for that matter. I'll never collect disks, as I've just seen too much about their unreliability. I like my cartridges; they'll survive for decades, with a minimal amount of maintenance.

I did think it was pretty cool when nightstar got the "Always an AV Famicom" custom rank. (Hint, hint, mystery admin...)

FamicomBoxes are pretty cool. So are Disk-Kuns. Make it a goal as a Famicom collector to get either one of those. Those were a couple of mine. Sadly, I never met them because I was 15 when I was super into Famicom and didn't have the money for such extravagance.
