I have a sealed Patapon demo disc if you want it. I got it for free and don't have a PSP.

manuel

That would be nice. How much would shipping be to Japan?

Does anybody know if there's also a demo available online on the PSN?

What's you postal code? Apparently its impossible to get a quote without the code.

The cheapest I can find is $12.30. I didn't realize how much it was to ship to Japan.

manuel

If I look hard I might get a used copy for that.  :D
I thought it's more like 3-4$, because it's so light.

But thanks for the offer.

son_ov_hades

Yeah it's totally not worth it for that price. If I find a cheaper one I'll let you know.

Manuel, I highly recommend Final Fantasy (1) for the PSP. It's the best version of FF1 yet made. While yes, its yet another port of the 1987 Famicom game, if you've never been able to sit through it for whatever reason, this is the version for you. I would break it down like this:

-Uses the graphics and enhanced audio of the PS1 Final Fantasy Origins
-GBA's Dawn of Souls simplicity in design, very easy to use interface
-PSP's brilliant colors and large screen are perfectly suited to FF1.
-Has the Japanese difficulty of the original intact, so don't except to breeze through it

The 20th anniversary PSP game contains all the extra dungeons from Origins & Dawn of Souls while still adding new exclusives.

I never liked FF2, and considering that they are not bundled together on the PSP, I'd say skip it entirely. But if you do choose to get FF2, the same rules apply for it as FF1. That is, that the PSP FF2 is the best version of FF2 ever made.

manuel

Thanks.
That makes them a must buy I guess. I like best versions. :D

Oh yeah, something else I recommend: a third party +pad cover.  The kind that goes over the directional pad via a sticky surface and gives a nice much more solid feel to the pad than was there originally. The original fat PSP has a terrible +pad and while the newer models have a much better one, i still prefer this. You can find them in a lot of places as well as online for only a few bucks, and they also come with a bunch of analog nub replacements that might suit your preference more than the default one.

It definitely shouldn't cost that to ship it. I shipped a PS2 game to Japan for $5, and I know for a fact that if you walk into the PO, they have a VHS sized box w/ international shipping for $10 (but that's Priority Mail and it's bigger than what that demo is). You really shouldn't have to spend more than $5 to ship it.

Hmm I guess I'm just an internets n00b, I couldn't find a cheaper quote anywhere.

Manuel, I can inquire at a post office if you're interested. Oh and I'll throw in a God Of War PSP demo that I have as well.

mobiusclimber

yeah I've never had much luck w/ checking shipping prices online. I either come out w/ some crazy amount or something that's obviously too low.

Oh, if it's max 5$ I'd be interested.

Thanks in advance.

Double post to bump & because I have a question.

Is the English translation of Final Fantasy good?

I'm thinking of importing the US version from play-asia. It's cheaper than the Japanese one.
