What do you think about the new Friday the 13th reboot ?  I know it's not out yet...but first thoughts ?

Are you sick of all the movies ?

Do you plan on seeing it ?

thanks for your time.

Not that interesting.

I'll be seeing it; I'll let you know how it goes. I usually hit up new horror movies that come out unless they look weak/teen movieish. heh.

Jason movies have sucked for a very long time, not interested.

There hasn't been a good Friday the 13th film since the 4th one, which should have been the last one in the first place. However, maybe this'll be good. Then again, no one can beat Betsy Palmer's role of Pamela Voorhees.

Jedi Master Baiter

The 4th one was the last one I saw so far. :P

I have the collection, but I'm seeing that along with Nightmare on Elm Street.

But I won't be done in time for the new Friday the 13th. Oh well. Whatever, I don't care.

Doc

The Elm Street series is SO much better, and 3 is one of the best horror films ever. :) Good to see some horror movie fans on here!

Where's the love for number the later ones? I thought number 6 was very well made. Kudos to them for getting a good Alice Cooper song out of it (He's Back). Number 7 had a great cheesey plot involving an abused telekenitic "Carrie" wannabe, Number 8 and 9 were s huge steaming piles of poop, I have to admit.  Jason X had some fun parts. I loved the holographic chamber representing the "classic" Crystal Lake campground, complete with topless female counselors wanting pot and sex. Jason versus Freddy was a pretty good mashup of each franchise...

I'm not saying any of these movies are great classics, but most of them brought their own personalities to the Jason mythos. Although I hated 9's idea of outer space slugs from Antarctica keeping Jason's body regenerating...

And please correct me if I got any of these details wrong. Its been a while since I've seen most of them.
Dance, puppets... dance!

The problem with those movies is that they're way too predictable.

Pretty much every movie is predictable nowadays in means of plots
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Not true, The Departed shocked me at the end.

I said pretty much :P
But I mean more along the lines of comedies, romantic stuff, and romantic comedies..you know exactly what's going to happen, and you expect twists
I knew exactly how Yes Man would play out..but I still enjoyed it.  I like most anything with Jim Carrey, especially Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (I think) when he is chased through a Cannibal Corpse concert :D

Unfortunately that's true.

Many many movies are too predictable.
But once in a while you'll find gems that may surprise you.

And I have to say it: Sometimes I just want to watch a trashy or bad action movie or comedy, even if the plot is stupid. It's good for relaxing. ;)
