I've got a SFC, but not an SNES. I've got some SNES games I'd like to play on the SFC. I know that the cartridge is too big to fit in the SFC cartridge slot, but if SFC games can be played on the SNES, wouldn't it work the other way around?

Yes, it will work.

Try taking the board out of the SNES cartridge.

FamicomFreak

Yes they work around but you can also get a SNES and cut the plastic pieces inside of the deck to make the super famicom carts work. It'll be better than having to open every snes games to play them on the super famicom.

Yeah, it's way easier to just play both in the SNES, instead of taking the boards out of ALL of your SNES games to play them on SFC.  Just rip out the tabs and your all set.  Plus, SNESs are like $5

SNESs gor for at least 20 bucks and why destroy a classic console (even though I did just to play my Super gameboy 2 but wound up buying a PAR MK3 and regretted the mod on my SNES model 2).

nintendodork

What classic console would you be destroying...?  You can still play SNES games in your SNES even after you mod it....

It fits... But when I turn it on, all I get is a black screen.

When you put the SNES game in the SFC?  Or viceversa?  Also, what game are you using?

It's an SNES game in my SFC, and it's Tetris 2.

Well, considering you took the board out of it's shell...you may just not established a good connection...try cleaning the pins and make sure you get the board in the slot nice and firm.

I still recommend cutting out the tabs in a SNES, it's easier and safer.

The first thing I did was clean it with rubbing alcohol... Also, I don't have an SNES, which is why I'm trying to do this.

Oh, well they are sold used at pretty much any used gaming store for cheap..plus...you don't even need controllers for it if you have an SFC

Blue Protoman

Get one of those Famiclones that support both the NES and SNES.  You'll have both an NES and a SNES.  Unless you already have an NES, in which case, don't bother.
