So I'm trying to buy a famicom. The only problem is I can't find what I'm looking for. I've searched through ebay and these are the only ones I've found.

But those aren't really what I'm looking for. I want the original box and manuals. Which leads me to here.

I've never heard of the website plus shipping is expensive.

So if you guys have any suggestions or know any place to get what I'm looking fort it would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't mind where it's located, go to RisingStuff.com.  They might have one CIB, for an okay price in Japan

Also, keep checking Famicomshop.com
It's in the U.S, and the owner is on the forums here.  Plus, he has good deals! :)  He doesn't have one CIB right now, but keep checking.

Well JC might still have this...

Prices are always up for negotiation. Ask questions!
Typical shipping costs: 1 game = $2.50; 2-3 games = $3.50; 4-8 games = $4.50.
International buyers: Please note your country when requesting a shipping quote.
Delivery confirmation included for US packages; prices may vary based on cart size and loose/CIB.

SYSTEMS:

CIB Famicom (w. official AC adaptor (110V), RF switch, manuals)  -- $95

Which can be found IN THIS THREAD over in the respective Buy/Sell/Trade section of Famicom World.  He's (JC) cool and it's a good price for a CIB FC system.  Maybe your quest has ended.  I don't believe he sold it yet otherwise it probably be marked as *Sold*.  It was interesting to see a link to Game Choice Club though, as I haven't dealt with them since 2003, but are an okay Hong Kong based company none the less... at least I never had any problems in my dealings with them.

Thanks guys! I just sent JC a PM. Hopefully he hasn't sold it yet.

If he hasn't, try Japan Game Stock

He still has it or rather had. I just bought it. I now need to find a CRT television.

If you have the money then I suggest going for a Twin Famicom as its the best of both worlds. I did a review of one in my blog just have a nosey at the link in my sig.

You can play it on any tv with a rf input. I've played mine on a HDTV before, it doesn't really look right but it can be done.

I can't stand playing any of my older systems on my Plasma TVs, but of course it can be done.  Even on standard sizing it still blurs movement where a CRT doesn't, and that drives me nuts.   And LCD screens make me nauseous--I'm still using a CRT computer moniter and find it superior.

Yep CRT TVs are where it's at.  Never have seen what the
big deal is for "Plasma" screens and what not.  Only problem
is I cannot seem to find a CRT HDTV anymore, as they were
available not that long ago, but seems only things that sell are
the plasma and LCD stuff.

Guess I'll forever hang onto my little 11inch CRT Sanyo TV for
all my Famicom, Mega Drive, Super Famicom, Atari 7800 and
PS2 playing needs... and my 16 1/2inch CRT Flatscreen for
movie viewing and S-Video imput for Superguns and CMVS
(Consolized Neo:Geo MVS) when I have them.  I'm sure one
day an LCD HDTV flatscreen will grace my living room, but I
seriously don't like how they look, whereas most ppl seem to
skeet for them.  And yeah... classic gaming looks like crap on
anything other than a CRT set.

You can still find good crt hdtv's on craigslist from time to time. I'd recommend a Pioneer Elite 510HD, 610HD or 710HD. You can pick them up for around $200-400 and they will last a long time, usually 13+ years. They're heavy, but you won't find a better tv for retro gaming. Unfortunately, CRT-based hdtv's haven't been made for years and most stores liquidated them a few years ago. The choppy plasma images make me cringe. I think the new laser tv's may be the way to go in the next few years.

Thanks for the tip there ericj.  Didn't even think about
Craigslist, but I suppose it's probably the only way
to go these days.  Can't say I've ever had a business
transaction through there though.  I'll never understand why
CRT is frowned upon in favor of the LCD and Plasmas though.
Neither of those standards give off enough brightness IMO, and
I want brightness on top of clarity.
