Drakon,
I am trying to focus on SFC, like my collecting with Famicom, I like to try and get titles that didn't get a US release. Or, if for some reason the SFC title is superior, then that would also be a reason for recommendation.

So far I won from eBay (waiting on shipping)
Super Ninja Kun
Final Fight Guy
Final Fight 2
Assault Suits Valken

SNES/SFC is something I really enjoy... much like most other consoles... but the Atari VCS/2600, the NES/Famicom, SNES/SFC and PSX/PS2 are the consoles that get the most love in my collection/collecting habits. In fact, I just got a box with 6 "new" Famicom games in it... new to me that is.

In terms of SFC-only releases, Ganbare Goemon 2 and 3 are a blast and are more than worth your time, as well as Super Ninja Kun and Rockman and Forte. I also really like Akira Toriyama's Go Go Ackman! series, which can be purchased for a pretty cheap price, and are fun little platformers.

I have 2 sfcs and one of the adapters.  The 15$ adapter is worth not busting all my games apart.  Although the thread says "super famicom recommendations" so I didn't know that also includes snes games

What do you mean about not busting games apart? Why would you need to do that in the first place?

non US titles?  okay seiken densetu 3 then

Seiken densetsu 3 is Secret of Mana 2 isn't it? Would be neat to flesh that series out some more.

Yeah, I have both of these, the US and Japanese release. I have only heard of the third game, never seen it. I tried to anglicize it, but not sure if an English title equivalent exists.... "Secret of Mana 2" is the only way I have heard it referred to.

If imports well the Ranma 1/2 fighting games would be a great addition!! ;D

I've seen some of the Ranma games floating around. I even found a bundle of all 4. Might have to toss in on those when I get some more money (it's getting kinda tight at the moment).

Final Fight 2 is WAY fun, and Assault Suits Valken is a fast paced shooter that will be much more enjoyable once I get the aiming scheme down a little bit better.

How is the SFC Parodius? I REALLY like the Famicom Parodius Da! I mean, from my experience Gradius has been a solid series, and even the parody is fun as can be.

If you like Gradius III, you'll like the SFC Parodiuses(Parodiusi?)

DEFINITELY get Parodius Da! on the SFC, it's the best one in the series, as well as the most ported version. Also pick up Pop'n Twinbee, which is not only a great shooter, it's also one of the most beautiful games on the SFC ever made.

satoshi_matrix

the best Parodius Da is the deluxe version for the Saturn.

I'm curious about Final Fight 2, as it was mentioned twice in this thread (at least to my knowledge). Whats the difference between the SFC and SNES versions? When I looked it up on youtube, it seemed there was an additional female character for the SFC version...

Gonzo...
I only have the SFC version for Final Fight 2. It's pretty fun. There is a female character in it, I just don't recall what her name was. Pretty fast moving character with a good special. Is there no female character in the US version?
