Yes i will get you 100 and 110 in 1 and also mario 6

Icelvlan

wait are there illegal to buy or own?

NintendoKing

They are legal to buy and own because the copyrights ended.

Icelvlan

can you confirm this are you sure?

ericj

I don't really understand your concern. You won't get arrested, if that's what you're worried about. You should be more concerned if they are stolen property.... ;)

No, the copyrights on the games themselves haven't ended. The patents on the hardware design of the console did.
A Famiclone is now completely legal as long as it doesn't include a multicart with pirated games. Having a bunch of crappy poorly programmed games is legal but having a copy of SMB without the title screen is not.

But as ericj said, nobody's gonna crack down on you unless those carts are laced with hard drugs :P.

If this weren't legal...

We'd all be in jail ;)
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Wrong. If they had the time and money to prosecute us, we'd be in jail.

And if they knew about the site and about exactly who we were.

Lol, it would suck if one day they did crack down on us then.

Yeah that kinda would rain on everyone's parade here. Oh no, an unsanctioned Nintendo related site?! Wait, some of these guys have access to, and sell/trade old pirate carts? That could maybe, MAYBE marginally dig into our Wii-Ware (or whatever the thing is called) sales, even though these guys are a very small niche. Gotta put the hammer down on ALL of them! Nothing like a massive company attempting to flex it's corporate muscle for the sake of showing that they can (Lik-Sang anyone?).

Ok, that was deliberately inflammatory. My apologies.

I don't think there is anything against owning a pirate or bootleg item. I think there are issues with selling them, and definitely issues with manufacturing. I know that with bootleg live recordings, there is nothing that can be done against you for owning one, but you might get into some hot water if you start pressing them (I have a number of bootleg recordings, they're fun to collect).

JC

That's it. Most companies will put their efforts into stopping the source, not into stopping little ol' us. Kinda like Nintendo cracking down on Tengen.

FamicomFreak

Same thing happened in the late 90s for music pirating and stopped napster and other sources instead of going after individuals.
