I heard that too (from their developer blog), unless there are more sales of RGC then it's not a viable business option for them.  Localisation for these is heavy.

I heard Mother 3 didn't get localised for legal reasons though, but I think there's a fan translation of it around if you have a flashcart or don't mind an emulator.

I enjoyed it up 'til the final challenge.  I just don't have the motivation to play through all the games.

Absolutely.
The last challenge put me off, too.
Inside the game there were one or two titles I didn't really care about, and beating those all the way isn't very funny then.

The last challenge is less of a pain if you use the secret Guadia Quest ending.  It counts.

XSEED has stated that US release of the game is extremely unlikely, due to lackluster sales of the original.
