500,000? is SimCity 4 really that much easier than its ancestors? I've only ever played SimCity, and I find it difficult to reach 300,000...

In SC 3000, I broke the 2,000,000 mark today...in about 45 minutes.  When I started today, I was at 950,000.  My city is sort of crappy if I do say so myself.  I have no idea how it's so popular.  It could be just the name of the city or the mayor   In case you wanna know, the city's name is "The Greatest City Ever Concocted By Man And Then Some"  and the mayor's name is...wait for it..."Castro"!

I think he said he was playing Sim City 3000. In my own experience (and from everyone I've talked to) Sim City 4 is much MUCH harder.

I was wondering, does anybody play any current PC games? I like playing some every now and then. Lately I've been playing Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 5, and Far Cry 2, among others.

I suck at Counter-Strike and Quake, which is what a lot of people play. My excuse? I grew up on consoles and only played educational games on the computer as a kid, so I never played those games while they were new. (And age restrictions) I built my computer in January and it's pretty good, so I've been playing mostly recent games.

I used to play a lot of online multiplayer games in the RPG scene. It gets kind of annoying after a while and time consuming.
Now I play old DOS games on my old PC. woot!

Does anyone know how to enable the cheat console in Halo?  All I've got is this

Open the properties window of the Halo shortcut and add " -console -devmode" to the end of the target field.

I think I know what it's talking about, but I don't know where to put the command.  I tried putting it right after "halo.exe", I tried putting "halo.exe\-console -devmode", but nothing seems to work.  I'd appreciate any help.

No need for the \ . Also try putting the parameter outside of the quotes and see if that makes any difference.
