I'm thinking about purchasing a bootleg lot for the cheap, and I want to hear peoples thoughts about them.

My friend had one with loads of NES games on it. His dad went to China and got it for him.

That's about all I know.

hopefully they look neat. :P I'm looking for something that obviously isn't real but you can tell they still tried. :P

Buy a flash cart and you can bootleg 'em all you want.  But only if you get the translated version of MOTHER 3 while you're at it.

Actually as I recall, my little brother bought a bootleg copy of Pokemon Sapphire. It had a regular black cartridge and some time-sensitive game elements (berries, for example) didn't work after one "use".

Cool cool. Any other odd ends to the bootleg scene?

I had something like this, but with Pokemon Emerald.  It was a black cart, the title screen said "POCKET MONSTER EMRALD" and every single opponent in the game cussed when they lost.  The save and time functions didn't work sometimes either.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

It was pretty dry too, most of the time it would go like this...

Tyler defeated Team Aqua Grunt!
Grunt: DAMNIT,`!
Tyler was payed 5,000P

Well...it was a pirated game, so I'm sure the people who pirated the cart changed a few things ;)

I wouldn't recommend it. The only bootleg game I've ever (unknowingly) purchased, Fire Emblem, took a substantial amount of force to fit in the cartridge slot. The saving feature was absent.
