Gasp!

manuel

Is that your pet or did it just happen to crawl around in your house? (If that happened to me I'd freak out and probably would set a new WR for high jump...)

Whoa!  Your one cat looks a lot like mine!

What breed is your cat? Or is that just a coincidence?

Domestic Short Hair.  A mutt, basically.  It's just a coincidence.  (Their facial structures don't really match up, actually, although you can't tell from the photos).

Here's a closer look at Phoebe's face:

They do look almost exactly alike!

Fun fact: I've owned 2 Tarantulas (Fuzzy and Killer) as pets in the past.

This is Max. He's the official Famicom Dog. I have another, I'll have to take a picture of him.

Edit: And here's Berkeley. He's more of a Genesis kind of dog.

jpx72

Nice pose! ;D He's a real photomodel!

One of my four guinea pigs, Bitsy, was diagnosed with lymphoma early last week. I'm in the process of debating the treatment options, and most likely I'll go with radiation therapy, since it seems to have the best remission/cure prognosis. Anyone had any experience with radiation treatment for pet cancer? I'm lucky to have one of only about 50 or so veterinarian oncologists who performs radiation therapy in the US right here in Portland, so I'm hopeful that it will work out okay. If you want, you can read more about my Bitsy's lymphoma here.

ramidavis

no way to pictures of them all, but i got 5 chihuahua's (mom, dad, litter of 2 girls and a guy), a herd of dexter cattle, and a herd of goats.
Although they are livestock, i consider the goats and cows as pets :D
Dexter are a naturally small size breed that have a good food-input to milk/meat out put for their size.
The goats are a cross of nubian and alpine. (1 alpine buck, 2 nubian bucks, numerous does of both breed)

Oh, and we a have chickens too. 10 buff orpingtons (9 hens 1 rooster), 3 dark cornish game birds (1 rooster, 2 hens), 6 black australorp hens, and 2 buff brahmas(1 hen 1 rooster). whew, that took a while to type. ;D

One of my guinea pigs, Bitsy, died this morning from lymphoma. It's been a tough day for me, but I hope she's now at peace.  :'(

jpx72

Very sorry to hear that ericj, the disease was hard for her, it's better this way.
PS wonderful blog page you've created!

Phosphora

Sorry for your loss, ericj.  :'(

Thanks, jpx72 & Phosphora.

Bitsy came from an animal rescue and has been a very special pet to me. Over the past year I've had to express her bladder every few hours since she couldn't pee on her own, so I haven't slept a solid 8 hours since. The necropsy showed a 2" bladder tumor, so that probably has something to do with why she was unable to pee--the pathology report should return in a week or so so I'll know more then. I'm happy she's not suffering any more, but I really miss having her around. She died in my arms right after arriving to the vet to have her put to sleep.
