We've been having a bit of trouble with people posting hyperlinks that are too long and stretch out the forum pages. So, everyone must start linking to webpages by using code. It's simple.

The code:

[*url=http://www.whateverthelinkis.com]NAME THE LINK HERE[/url*]   (leave out the asterisks)

An example of the code in a sentence:

Go check out [*url=http://www.famicomworld.com]Famicom World[/url*].   (leave out the asterisks)

What the above example will look like in the text of your post:

Go check out Famicom World.

You can either type out the code yourself, or just click the Earth icon above the text box. Note: If you click the icon, you'll have to type the "=" yourself. Often times I name the link "HERE".

JL and I do not like to modify other people's posts, but we will do so if a link you post is too long.

That's great, make sure to follow this, everyone!

Bump. :) Please follow the instructions closely. Ask questions.

Are we allowed to use tinyurl.com?  I've gotten into the habit....

EDIT: Here's the link http://tinyurl.com/

I don't know what that is, but as long as it's "tiny" it should be ok. We're just trying to avoid the long links that stretch the width of the page and cause the bottom scroll bar to appear. :)
