I thought the game's sense of humor was exceptional in general, but that "glitch" was definitely a highlight. It's not every day that you get trolled by an NES game, afterall.

Primal Rage on Gameboy. Armadon, Level 8. I didn't lose a round but used 2 continues in the Final Battle (6 opponents in a row without any health refill).

Edit: Just managed to beat Primal Rage (GB) on Level 8 with Armadon, not losing a single round and using no continues in the Final Battle. Score: 9190156. No special ending but doing it without continues nets you a shit ton of points.

Mortal Kombat on Gameboy, used 3 continues. Unlocked Goro and went through the game with him just for fun, not losing a single round. Goro is pretty OP.
Edit: Went through it again with Scorpion, lost 2 rounds total, but no continues.

I beat the last mission of Conflict (NES) last night on my first try. I was playing on the lowest difficulty (Fame Points Level 1), but this game is already tedious enough when I start with enough FP to actually build new units. I don't really have any interest in replaying this one on higher levels.

Alien 3 on Gameboy. Very tense final battle with the Queen, was down to my last life and spend like 15 minutes trying to get her caught in chute. Great game!

Alien on ZX Spectrum. Short scenario, 40% competence rating. Really great game.

Cauldron II on ZX Spectrum. By far the hardest game I've ever manage to complete. Totally awesome game.

I beat Mega Man II (GB) for the first time this afternoon, and beat Mega Man X (SNES) earlier this evening.

Was that the NES version of Paperboy 2? I've beaten it a couple of times, and yeah the single-screen newspaper ending is not the most interesting one after beating such a tough game. (But you have to admit it's a fairly appropriate one.)
