I just beat The Punisher (NES) for the first time. And I managed to do it with 13 spare lives, despite never beating the Kingpin before. That supergun is awesome, if you can ace a level to earn it!

I beat Dracula II on the Disk System. I got the bad ending, then the good ending.

Captain Toad Treasure Trackers.  And it was awesome.

Akumajou Dracula X Chi no Rondo - beat Dracula with Maria. Still only 60% complete though.

I played through Mega Man X today. It'll probably always be my favorite Mega Man game on the SNES.

FC Contra. Every time I bust out the famicom with some friends I have to show them what was missing from the Nintendo version of the game

Shumi Nagaremono

This morning, I finished Ninja Ryukenden (Ninja Gaiden) for the first time.

That final boss battle.  Wow.  You'd get fired, ridiculed, and blacklisted from the industry if you even *suggested* doing something like that in a modern game.

StarFox 2 (SNES)

I played it on the second difficulty (I forget what they're called), because the first is a complete joke. (A few weeks ago, I watched my partner beat it on the lowest setting in half-an-hour on the first try despite fumbling with the controls for the first 10 minutes.) There was a decent increase in challenge, but I did still beat it on my first try.

Mad Stalker: Full Metal Force for the Sharp X68000. Fun, but sometimes tough.

Went through Kawa no Nushi Tsuri on Famicom again. I found it a bit easier this time, still lots of fun.

Beat famicom batman.  Last level is tough, not holy diver tough but tough enough. That god you only  have to beat jokers bodyguard the first time.

I beat Zelda II, NES version. I thought the Grand Palace would be really hard, but it was actually a breeze! Then I came up to Thunderbird without the Thunder spell... So I backtracked and came back. I beat both bosses without dying! Then I played through hero-mode and beat all 6 palaces without a game over. I think I mastered this game.

Beat Radia Senki: Reimeihen on Famicom again a few days ago, I really love the pacing in that game. Also just completed Hanjuku Eiyuu (Famicom) again. I struggled a little in the 2nd scenario as an opponent's kingdom grew too big and kept pelting me with troops, though I managed to hold the front with two shoguns and sneakily flank them with my hero. Things started to ease up as I conquered their main castle, and I won the scenario pretty effortlessly thereafter. Scenario 3 gave me some trouble as well, but it was nothing near as much as in scenario 2. Still an excellent game!

I think I only beat the first scenario in that game. Gotta get back to it sometime.

Great, it's time to take on the Japanese version, it's harder.
