Pink Godzilla sells them for $99!
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

$99.00!!!!

That's the biggest problem with the NEX. People wouldn't have very many bad things to say about it if it had a $25.00 price tag and $10.00 for the wireless controllers.

99 bones. Come on, give me a break. It would have to be WAY better then a NES and Famicom. Because for $99 you can go out and buy a nice Famicom and a NES.

Damn skippy, its cause its PG. They got some whack prices. For 100 bucks, I would expect that thing to shoot fire or something.

I thought they were Pink Gorilla now?

I have used a NEX at a friends how and its rubbish, the pin connector is super tight; so switching out games makes for a terrible task. It has a death grip and scratches the pins on games.

I don't understand why so many clones out there have a problem with it being impossible to get your games back out. I mean you would think that this wouldn't be that big of a problem for them but it is. The yobo has a pretty strong grip. Doesn't sound like it's as bad as the NEX but it's bad enough.

Nintendo used a non-standard board thickness for its cartridges. Industry Standard connectors are a little bit thinner than Nintendo's. You get the idea.

Coincidentally, pirate cartridges tend to fit a little bit loose on original hardware.

If the NEX is no good whats the best clone out there?

I'm having such a hard time finding a Famiclone. All I can ever find for sale is yobos and retro duos but always just NES version never Famicom  :'(

I had a decent time with the Gametech Neo-Fami black model.
It wasnt a bad famicom clone.

Do you have an online retailer you would suggest to buy it from? I have the hardest time finding Famicom/Famiclones on ebay and online in general. Is there a secret that I am not aware of?

I got mine from http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-1s-49-en-70-3kz.html
But they are out of stock now.

Grrr  >:(

Well thanks for the suggestion though. I'll keep an eye on them and get one when they get them back in stock.

I have a "Retro-Bit" branded Yobo.  It's given me no problems whatsoever.  Whenever I want to play a Famicom game on it, I just use a converter.  Both are cheap and easy to find.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat
