Has anyone visited the '9' ? I submitted Retrojunk, it was put up, & got the most votes. ;D Then I stopped going there, because it was boring.

Anyway, I saw that John Leguizamo was hosting it, so I went there.  Then I found this.

Guess what Famicom game name made the list?

Wow. That blondie wasn't very good at faking her enthusiasm. :P

I think the Famicom game picked by the site was reasonable -- it is a terrible name. There's a lot of Famicom game names that lack creativity (Baseball, Tennis, Banana, De-Block, Dragon Unit, Effort) but I have trouble finding any that are laughably bad. Last Armageddon is kinda redundant. Sexy Slot isn't bad but makes me giggle.

Maria Sansone?  Yeah, because she does it everyday. :P But she's hot. :P

As for bad movie names, doesn't final destination 2 & 3 sound redundant as well?  The thing with Final Fantasy is, the creator, forgot his name, was intending it to be his final game - hence Final Fantasy.

So every time another Final Fantasy is created, I guess they assume it'll be the last. :P

On a similar note....Final Fight 2 & Final Fight 3  :D

I dont know if a Famicom version came out, but Totally Rad on the NES.  Almost as bad as Heavy Shreddin'.

Totally Rad and Heavy Shreddin' are awesome names!  Totally Rad in Japan is Magic John; an equally totally rad game name.

I think Gimmick! is an awful name.  It means nothing in relation to the game itself, other than perhaps the extra channels (which are actually not a gimmick but very substantial) or the stars, but if those are a gimmick then Belmont's whip is double that.

Adding, the ! mark is pointless and further irrelevant even if the title font is lovely.  Heck, even the PAL version is called Mr.Gimmick, the European distributors didn't have the faintest clue about the title either and they were working the the developers!  Seems they decided to base it around the character in a moment of dumbfoundness.

I think that, a great game as it is has the worst title.  Just because it's a good game doesn't aleviate it from having a poor name.

I never thought about that one before, but yeah, that's a pretty sad attempt.

Load Runner. Me and my brothers made a joke a few years ago and a drawing to go with it! It was about the game being about the guy running around with a load in his pants! :D

Ha, that made me picture it and sounds amusing.

It's spelled Lode though, it's not even a word is it?  The name actually annoys me, it makes no sense yet somehow always makes me thin of Logan's Run.
