Yes, that is a very important Christian place in Nagasaki, called "26 Martyrs Hill"(Nishizaka Hill).
26 christians were cruxified in that place in 1597.
Knowing about this history , you will know how insane and violent the japanese shogun was.

Nagasaki is the best city in Japan ever! I live in Chiba (Tokyo Bay area) now, but I will never forget that city, best japanese people that I ever seen! They smile to you(not a fake one), totally different from the people of Kanto and some other areas that I've been.  They piss me off almost every day.
