Yeah, there is a relationships thread (which he could've used), but no one really goes in depth there.  I do agree that people should try and keep stuff like that in their personal lives separate from forums.

I don't see the problem with asking for a little advice or posting about your accomplishments every once in a while, but overdoing it like linkzpikachu did gets annoying pretty quick.

OK but folks let's please understand that some members here are younger and don't realise when they might be overdoing it.  It's a shame to see people being blunt and insensitive when some newer members are coming here asking for a little help and advice.

Ironically, I'm talking about it now, in this thread, because I don't understand why it has to be when someone asks for help, they get put down.  
FW is not a massive community and it's my humble opinion that we should be as nice as possible to new members.
I don't mean to sound like a wannabe mod - I just believe in being nice and sharing goodwill, it's actually one of the easiest things in the world.

Yeah. He sees us as friends and asks for advice. I try to keep personal stuff off forums. At least his posts are of some substance, not just like the mindless spam that plagues RJ.

Also (not to sound like the immature kid we're saying bad things about), but I don't understand Summer Reading at the High School level. I guess in elementary school it keeps your brain active and helps you learn to read because you're doing it, but I'm fully literate, and I must read pages and pages of stuff on the Internet daily.
