Link to the Past, then Link's Awakening, but I'm really not a fan of 3D Zelda, so there you go. Just doesn't feel like a Zelda game.

To be fair to Metal Gear, the Nes / Fami versions are not true metal gears.  Metal Gear 2 on MSX was an amzing piece of work.  Snake's Revenge is just a ugly licensing love-child.

I still watch the intro every now and then for the music alone:

Actually this version is sped up through incorrect emulation but I love it nonetheless.

Oh yeah, I forgot - people think Snake's Revenge is Metal Gear 2.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear - but I was talking about the MSX versions, & Metal Gear 2 made a massive amount of changes (for the better!) & I hear people saying it was executed better than even Metal Gear Solid (have yet to play Solid myself).

And I actually liked Snake's Revenge - people, realize this came before Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.  Heck, if it weren't for Snake's Revenge, we might not have had sequels! :o

how the hell did you get on topic of metal gear, THIS IS ZELDA!!!!!!!!

MS-DOS4

I'm locked in a battle between Link to the Past and Wind Waker, since those were the ones I had growing up. (No N64)

Fine then - I think Wind Waker was the worst Zelda. Happy now?

I guess you could say I grew up w/ 2D Zelda, tho I didn't play LttP until I was in college (same w/ the GB game, now that I think about it). But it's almost like the difference between Metroid and Metroid Prime (and I actually prefer the Metroid Prime games, LOL). I just think the puzzles play differently, the games flow different... For instance, in Lttp, you wake up, go find a dungeon enterance, get a sword... you basically jump right in and just start playing. OoT, on the hand, starts you off in a village and basically tells you how to play the game (and you NEED those instructions, LOL). Just feels overly complicated and artificial to me.

I have an nes reproduction of Zelda: Outlands...Made out of a hand painted gold cart....NIce game.  Plays like the original Zelda, looks like the original, but its got a totally redone map set...
