Hmm. Maybe it's just that cart you're talking about? The one I've got doesn't have those problems...it's one of the better originals I've played. Sure beats all the shitty fighters out there. Now those suckers have rigid controls.

I don't know what's the big deal about Super Mario World. I played the ROM and it plays slippery, you loose your powerups when you shouldn't, and Mario lacks the physcics he has in the real Super Mario World and even the physics he had in Super Mario Bros 3. While it is cool that its a HKO that was made all these years latter, it can't hold a candle to any of the real games.
