I just wrote a short piece about a Hiryuu no Ken bundle I recently discovered and picked up.  You can see pics and read the article here, if you like:

Has anyone seen one of these before?  Any idea of the value or rarity of something like this?  Also, does anyone know if any other bundles of a similar nature were released?  To me, this is a really neat find, combining a Famicom game with a later game in the series.

Please check out my gaming blog, FC Game Land, for information and my own personal thoughts on Famicom and other imported games.  I will also list items for sale on there, for those who are interested.

That's pretty awesome FCGamer. I always found it interesting that this just so happens to be one of the most common Famicom games to find unopened, if not the most uncommon.

Think a similar bundle exists for Super Chinese 2 and 3? Since they're also quite common to find unopened, and being the same company and all.

So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

Well the box appears to say 発売 キャンペーン which translates to closing down campaign sale. Sounds like your intuition on the lots of left over stock was on point. With higher res pictures I might be able to loosely translate other parts.

But 発売 (hatsubai) is more commonly used when starting selling something no? Not closing down sales I think.

Classic Jesse. Getting singular and group kanji mixed up again, yes this should be launch campaign instead.

What about Ultra Baseball? That game also has a ton of new copies. Looks like Culture Brain was way too optimistic...
