Hey. I'm having a problem with my eyes in regards to the Nintendo 3DS. I've read about this happening to others and wanted to see if you guys experience this too.

I own no 3DS games yet and have only had short (10 minutes max?) 3D sessions with my 3DS playing it's built in games. I don't get headaches or anything like that, but maybe a half hour to an hour after playing a 3D mode application on my system, The individual words on paragraphs of text dip, pop up, and warp ever so slightly. Images can become garbled, kinda popping off the page like if a heightmap was applied to it.

Yesterday I thought this effect was kinda funny but now it's getting really disorientating. Last time I played my 3DS in 3D mode was 10 and a half hours ago and I'm getting heavy effects still as I write this thread. Should I stop using the 3D mode altogether?

Please tell me what you think. I don't want to go blind.   :P

The problem seems to be in your brain rather than in your eyes. Stop using 3D mode and you should be fine. Then try turning it on for short amounts of time until you have gotten used to it.

I can't believe what kind of problems you people have.  :crazy:
2 days ago when I got the Rabbids game I played that for 4 hours straight with full 3D with no ill effects whatsoever. Guess I'm very lucky.  ;D

I guess so.
I mean it's almost like a miracle. I have headaches really often. At least once every week (because of working in front of a computer...).
I've gotten headaches when playing my DS, but after a month of daily use I've still not gotten a headache after playing the 3DS. I hope it stays that way.

One thing I would suggest is turning the 3D on a very low setting, and then slowly moving it up, and see where your eyes start bugging you.  Then you can slowly start to start using the higher 3D settings. If it bothers you too much, you could just stop at any time.

You must be right cause it seems to only happen whenever I think of the 3DS. All in me mind!

You mean hypochondriac? ::)

I would think I'm more prone to getting headaches from playing games, since my glasses magnify stuff a lot, and my vision is really bad without them. But I've really never had any problems with playing games or staring at a computer for long periods of time.
