MS-DOS4, omg it is amazing.
The sound quality is better, the picture is extremely better and it can use NES controllers, but at the same time also use the wonderful Famicom stuffs.

I never imagined what I was missing out on, the original Famicom may look cooler but it just doesnt cut it in the long run as compared to the AV Famicom.  Really the same goes for the NES versus the ultimate NES-101 Toploader, newwer models just work better because of upgrades.

That's so awesome, Gremlin! I have only heard great things about the AV Fami! :)
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

Its crazy amazing, I mean the original was really nice and all but honestly it had crummy signal all the time and the super short attached controllers annoyed me so I got an expansion port one that I am now using on the AV Famicom.

Hurray, AV Famicom.

That AV Famicom look sweet UG.  I don't have the money to buy one right now, but with the thing I just got, you might as well call my Famicom an AV one.  This should come on Monday from ericj ;D

I'm really excited to start using my NES Max and the Zapper (when I'm using a CRT) on my Famicom.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Those are a nice invention with that and an AV mod, you get the same thing as a AV Famicom. I am not technical at all and I figured that just buying the AV version would be more simple for me.

But I would also like to own one of those adapters one day also, so I use a zapper on my console.

HyperShot controllers and the two compatible games. I remembered I wanted these awhile ago and saw them on eBay when I was searching for the Hyper Shot gun.

tankexmortis

Cool, Eric! I was wondering about those two games. How does the HyperShot work? Just press the two buttons?

ericj

Yep..pretty much all you do is use the two buttons--Run & Jump--for the games.

I'll have to play them more and see what I really think, but my first impression after playing them each for a few minutes is that they are kind of hard. It was a surprise for games you play with only 2 buttons!  :D

Kewl stuff man congrats

Awesome! Just remember to push them buttons at least 60 times per second ;-)

I hope this isn't like Rockman 7 and is just a titlescreen hack, probably of Rockman 2. I've been searching for this forever, can't wait till it arrives, though my expectations are pretty low. What are the chances someone actually ported X2 to Famicom?  We'll find out...  :-X

Have you gotten this cart yet? I'm really curious to see what it is.

I got this in the mail today. As expected it was just Rockman 2  :'( What's more it has a copyright from NTDEC at startup. Talk about misleading people :/
