Did you test all the pins from the NES-side to the Famicom-side? A single faulty pin may be enough for the converter to malfunction.

Peege

I tested every pin and they all worked except for 3 on the end... but there are more pins on one side so I figured a few of them weren't supposed to do anything. =(

Yes, some pins on the NES-side aren't used by the Famicom (communication with the lockout chip, for example). You say pin 3 didn't work; on which end? Could you perhaps show on a picture exactly which pin isn't working?

Peege

I tested it again and it seems like a lot of the pins aren't working :(
I guess it's broken so I'll try get my money back. Thanks for the advice everyone! This was my first topic and I really appreciate the help. I love the community here I just wanted to say :)

I'm sorry to hear it's broken. Better luck with your next one!  :D

It's probably just a few cold joints. Run hot air, or  touch a hot iron with some flux over every solder point to re-flow them and it should be fine. You will also need to modify this adapter to play MMC5 games.

I also suggest cleaning all of the contacts on the converter, both on the card-edge, and on the socket.

You won't find these often anymore, so it's best to try to salvage it if you can. :bomb:
