I learned that is easier to run when it's raining  :-[  (today is one of those rare rainy Summer days)

I learned that when you're dealing with those locking screws, never screw the actual screw in too tightly, or the head will be below the locking mechanism, and then when you think you've locked them, you finish the whole shelf, then realize after you're nailed it all together that the boards aren't locked together.

Leave them a little raised so the locking device can grab it.

Square Enix apparently owns the rights to the Daikatana franchise.  They must have picked it up when they bought Eidos, who I didn't realize had published the game.

Picked up hard cover editions of the first three Hitchhiker's Guide books at a yard sale ($1 a piece!).  I thought they might have been first editions, but they are apparently "book club" editions, which isn't something I knew anything about until I looked it up a few minutes ago ;D

They don't own the rights to the cool GBC version though :(

In Japan one girl killed her girl friend and cut her head  :( :-X :'( >:( :(

fcgamer

^^^  yeah I saw that as well on the news.  Still Japan is one of the safest countries in the world.

A few months back some crazy Taiwanese dude killed some folks on the subway here in Taiwan.  The reason these things make the big news is that it is so shocking to hear about violent crimes in these countries.  Had this happened in America, for example, I don't think it would even be big news.  Well, the head cutting part, maybe, but the murder--not really.

Sometimes I just....errr I just don't know about dating.  I enjoy being social, when I want to, but I hate when I am dating someone and we are on different wave lengths, and then she wants to be with me all the time...just drives me crazy!!!  And those times just make be to begin to wonder, is it that all the good folks are taken, I just haven't met the right person, or am I not cut out for this stuff?

Thanks for the thoughts!  Luckily, I live in the central part of the island, and with the even happening over 4 hours away, it really has caused me little trouble.  It has been a rough year here in Taiwan though:  There was the crazy knife killer on the subway, then a plane recently crashed because of a typhoon, and now the gas explosion in Kaohsiung (large port city in the south).  I think the USA goes overboard with safety restrictions and the like, but lately I feel as though some of these incidents are occuring because Taiwan's safety rules are almost too lax at times.  I honestly hope nothing else tragic here happens this year.
