Had a bad day today... :(

Recently I bought a new bicycle. I've had it for about 10 days or so and today I had my first puncture already. All of a sudden the tire was flat. Crap.  :'(
I haven't experienced a flat bicycle tire in like 20 years!
I think I can easily repair it, but still...

Then in the afternoon when I wanted to repair the tire, it started to rain. And I was like  >:(  >:(  >:(

And finally in the evening, when I got into my car to go to my German class the car wouldn't start. Dead battery.  ???
My brother-in-law lent me his car, so I made it to class somehow, about 20 minutes late.

After class I went to a shop that sells used video games and comics. I found out about it last week and was very happy, because I haven't noticed that store before.
Needless to say... it sucked. The oldest games they had were PS2 games. No retro stuff at all.  :'(

So, all in all, today was pretty... mediocre. I need something to cheer me up...

Haha I know how you feel, but at least you get back to doing something you haven't done since childhood, and that's a good thing, everything that reminds you of that wonderfull childhood time is a positive experience! :)

Cheer up man!

According to Newton's law: "To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction."

So according to my gradschool science knowledge and wishful thinking; tomorrow the wind from your bike's tire will cause climate change so that it will stop raining, juuuust after an electrical build up in the stratosphere shoots a lightning that recharges your car battery. That of course causes a time dialation effect that changes the past so you were actually 20 minutes early for your German class, where you learned this new sentance: "Ich habe eine grosse Bratwurst in meine Lederhosen" (although you might want to check the grammar a bit).
As for there being no retro games at that new store, science can't explain that. We all know there is some dark magic at work that lands all the good deals in senseiman's hands, so you're out of luck there unless you call a priest (preferably two, one old and one young).

;)

You do know that Manuel is from Germany, right? So, he was most likely teaching.   ;)

Aside from that, bad days help us appreciate the good days. Not that thinking this makes them any better, though. Sounds like it would have been a good day to just stay home and play some vidya games.

Yes, Eric's correct, I'd be the teacher.   8)
They all waited for me.

@Kiddo: Grammatically the sentence is almost correct, but I don't know if I'd like a bratwurst in my lederhosen.  ;D
I know a priest actually. He's the Italian teacher at the NHK culture center where I teach German. Our classes are at the same time. Now I only have to find a second, young priest. I'll keep my eyes open.

That shop I went to actually had a small shelf with a board on it reading "retro games", but that must have been old. Instead of the retro games there were some (weird) dojin manga, CDs and DVDs.
I'm pretty sure until last week they had retro games.  :P  (I already went to every single store with old games in the east Hiroshima area, so now I'm planning to visit stores in Okayama prefecture with my brother-in-law in the summer.)

Haha, did not realise that. Well there is always room to learn new words in your own language, although I doubt this was that kind of case.

I'd contact him sooner than later. Sean's monopoly on good finds must be ended!  ;)

I found out my e-mail had been hacked, had to work three 12-hour days in a row, and the bank has charged me $300 is 'fair' fees!

A lot of video game stores don't carry old stuff it's not as popular of a market as newer generation things.  Oh well

That's awful!
I just hope nobody will try my account...  :'(

Nah it's my own fault for overspending on stuff, but the fees are ridiculous overweighted.
I don't mind working overtime, but I don't get paid for it and have precious little time to myself as it is.  When other stuff is going on it just makes it worse.

Either way I'm not whining, I can't feel bad when there are people in horrible, horrible situations around the world.  Some weeks just drag.

Manuel, I'm hoping Nintendo's recent announcements have cheered you up at least (NSMB2, Kirby collection, 3DS firmware update)?

Don't forget Mario Wii U and pikmin 3!

manuel

NSMB2 and 3DS firmware update surely sound very nice!

Now I only need a date for Rayman Origins (3DS) and I'm set.
