data recorder tape images

You mean the tapes?  You basically just hook up a tape player to your PC by running a 3.5mm M to M audio cable from the headphone jack of your tape player to the line-in (or mic) port on your PC.  After it's hooked up, hit record in your favorite audio program and then hit play on your tape player.  There are guides online to help you through the process (although I would avoid any "clean-up" steps).

I'm sure I could locate an inexpensive one rather easily.  Maybe they weren't quite as ubiquitous in England?

I have been busy with real life as of late. I decided i would check in on this, now that it has been quite a while.
Still no sign of getting those tapes online, huh?
Oh well, back to real life again.
