Twin Famicom or AV Famicom

Is the AV Famicom really worth it? I already have a Twin Famicom and i really hate the short controller cables, and that the audio is a bit muffled compared to the NES. I'm planning to sell my Twin Famicom, or trade it to the AV Famicom, but is there that much of a difference between AV Famicom, or Twin Famicom.

The AV famicom is the best model.....for modding.  I have nothing but love for the av famicom (I own 3 myself).  I also have a sharp twin famicom and I love that system too but the muffled audio sucks.  Even for composite video the av famicom is perfect looking.  The only complaint I can think of about the un-modified av famicom is mixing in carts with upgraded audio chips is lacking....bass.  The upgrade kits I use fix the audio (and actually make it better sounding than any stock console) but unfortunately the kit costs 150$ because it's meant to upgrade a whole lot more.  Also the audio circuit only sounds perfect on the av famicom which is another downside.

muffled sound is just one capacitor.

As about AV grey one - it's a bit fluffy, classic one more robust. Twin? mmm There is profit, when it&s turbo twin

really?  Which cap?

There's a 0.022 uF cap located between the video and audio jacks. Ace discovered this on Sega-16, just snip it off and the audio becomes crystal clear. It should be marked as C205 on the power board.

Does this have any downsides?

I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

It seems to me there ought to be a reason why that cap is there

According to the link previously posted by 2A03 (See http://tinyurl.com/7oxyydw) You'll have to change a resistor out on the disk side of the system to normalize the sound between disk and cart modes.

It's a low-pass filter for audio so all it does is filter out some of the higher frequencies in the audio (hence the name), removing it has absolutely no harmful effects. I removed the one in my Turbo Twin a month ago and it's still working perfectly fine.
