Hello. I've been looking around in this forum and others but I can't find an answer, so I'm here for your wisdom.  :D

I have an original Famicom on the way from Japan. I was planning on doing an AV mod as well as replacing the controller cables with longer ones, of about 2.5m (I think that's about 8 feet), but I read somewhere that from certain length the controllers would stop working. I think it was something to do with the resistance of the cable, as the workaround was installing a resistor in parallel (or at least i think that's the case). Anyhow, it didn't specify what was the maximum length before the mod was necessary.

Does anybody know anything about it? Also, is there any other consideration to have regarding the cables, any multi wire would do?

I have limited knowledge of electronics, so please bear with me.

Thanks a lot! :cherry:

NES controllers' cables are over 2 meters with unshielded insulation and they works fine.
