Pal NES games are faster on NTSC NES?

The Japanese version is actually even better than the PAL (of Dragon's Lair), plus it runs and looks smoother.

A game that got so much hate on the web turns out to be actually really good albeit very hard, too.

Heh I suppose the NA version were released first and localizers thought it was necessary to improve gameplay for the PAL and Famicom versions. With the Famicom released last it got the most recent updates.

I've always wondered if PAL Battletoads ran slower. Has anyone confirmed?

I haven't confirmed but Rare has a reputation for making their games act similarly over the regions.
