More overpriced games to come.

They should go from Power to the Gamers to Ripping off the Gamers.

"We don't know how to refurbish the games"

Are you fucking kidding me? As Funcoland and Electronics Boutique, they used to sell these games used. Now they can't figure out how to refurbish them all of a sudden?

They just don't want to take responsibility. "Junk, no claim, no return"
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Oh boy, PC fanboy dipshits already fanboying it up in the comments. Yeah, because PC superiority is totally related to GameStop selling old games, eh? Complete imbeciles.

When they decide to carry imports or boxed systems like Videogames NY or Digital Press, THEN I'll be impressed.....

I was considering getting a job when our local game store was still Funcoland.

I would've known how to keep all the cartridges in working order.

By the way, when I think "vintage" I always think the Atari days, never NES & beyond.

Same, and I don't even like any pre-Famicom consoles. Sometimes I hear people calling the PS1 or N64 vintage or retro, and it just blows my mind.

Before they got gobbled up by Gamestop Electronic Boutique actually did have a few Saturn imports after the US demise, as well as carrying the European Shenmue 2 DC import. I actually bought my first import game there, Xmen vs Street Fighter on Saturn.

JohnnyBlaze

I can vouch for that. I can STILL remember buying Shenmue II for the Dreamcast at GameStop. They also threw in a Freeloader disc as well when you bought it. I told this story to people and they didn't believe me. Now, at least I know somebody who also saw it there too.

As for Electronics Boutique, they carried imports a LOT. I still remember them getting Saturn imports and PC Engine stuff there too. That's where my aunt bought Dracula X as a matter of fact. Also, they were the only store I knew that actually carried Neo Geo systems and games.

I was at a flea market today and some booth had like 20 Japanese N64 games. I was very surprised.

Heh, funny, around here the flea markets don't carry video games whatsoever.

This one had several but their were hardly any deals to be had (most games priced at roughly ebay prices or more, did see a model 3 genesis for $25 though)

Only thing I got was an Atari paddle controller and an N64 ram expansion.

I don't see how GameStop wil be able to stock retro games. At least every store I've ever been in has been extremely small. Hell, most GameStops barely even have room to stock cart-only GBA games. The only way I see them stocking retro games is if they put them in those small cases and sell cart only games for some inflated price like $9 per NES game regardless of what it is.

What kind of a person would buy an unboxed NES games for an price like that when they can get it for much cheaper online...

This isn't for the newer gamers, I'd say, so those who're going to purchase must be aware that there are better and cheaper ways of buying the games for their retro consoles.

When we still had stores known as EB Games, just a few years back they were still selling good vintage stuff, not sure why they ever tried to stop sales completely, the line on the retro gaming graph just keeps on rising!  :diskkun:
